Work sample Year 7 - 8 French: Role play – On se présente

This work sample demonstrates evidence of student learning in relation to aspects of the achievement standards for Year 7 and 8 Role play – On se présente. The primary purpose for the work sample is to demonstrate the standard, so the focus is on what is evident in the sample not how it was created. The sample is an authentic representation of student work and may contain errors such as spelling mistakes and other inaccuracies. In this work sample students: • use French language to interact and collaborate with others, and to share information and plan activities in familiar contexts • respond to others’ contributions, and recognise familiar gestures, questions and instructions in exchanges • use familiar language, and modelled sentence and grammatical structures to create texts, and demonstrate understanding of how some language reflects cultural practices • approximate French sound patterns, intonation and rhythms, and demonstrate understanding that French has conventions and rules for non-verbal, spoken and written communication.
